April
This past month has been somewhat eventful. It has encompassed my birthday, a family visit, an injury, weekly running, an 'ace', a tragedy, and i'm back playing soccer!
This April marked my 29th birthday. It was spent out in Salisbury with my family. This was a truly needed time and very enjoyable. I look forward to my next trip.
Early in the month, I ended up jarring my wrist pretty well, and learned quickly how often we take for granted good health.
So for the past month or so, my friend BJ and I have been running three days a week. The excercise and accountability has been great. I have definitely noticed an increase in energy throughout the week.
The weather in April had some bright moments. During one of these days, I ended up taking a client out for a round of golf. There is never a time where a time in the office is better than a day out on the course. This time out was a little unique though. My client Lou somehow managed to hole out from the tee box for an 'Ace'. This is something that is rarely seen or done. It was a very cool experience.
April also was an emotional and trying time for many families and people. The tragedy of the massacre at Virginia Tech truly had my attention and prayer. I can’t even imagine, I really can’t. My twin brother and cousin both attended Virginia Tech, and I know that they were more than thrown back by the situation. My prayers continue to go out to the families and friends of those that have fallen. A special remembrance goes out to Jarrett L. Lane.
As the end of April came, somehow I was talked into playing soccer again. I have started playing indoor soccer on Wednesday nights. Our first game was last week. This team is a house team or undesignated team, so I am a little excited about the opportunity to meet and get to know these new people. How cool would it be if somehow I could use this opportunity to build new relationships and maybe even share some of my beliefs. It's always neat to see how or where God chooses to use us.
I know this much, April has been great. I have seen a lot of new things happening in my life. The repetitive excercise routines, and soccer has really started to get me into better condition. I honestly wake up and can say, I couldn't be happier. God truly blesses me daily.
I await MAY!
