Memorial Day

Historically the holiday of Memorial Day is a day of remembrance. For me and most I know its a three day weekend filled with a lot of hamburgers and time with friends and family. This past memorial day quite possibly has been the best I can remember. The holiday weekend was filled with a Friday night social, golf, bbq's, a lunch with my family, and sushi/anime.

Friday after work a few of us from Horizon met up with some young adults from Central Presbyterian at "Little Havannas" in Baltimore. I don't know why but I enjoy connecting or connecting with those of other church organizations. Regardless, the night was fun and enjoyable. I look forward to seeing more of this in the future.

Saturday, my buddy Mark and I got up to do our ritual golf endeavor over the weekend. I think the event has become therapeutic for the both of us. There is something fascinating about standing in the middle of the fairway looking down at this tiny white ball, as you work through in your mind how you might successfully send this object to it's home. What a game!

On Sunday Horizon started a series on the Celtic way of evangelism. After the sermon the barbecuing started. I ended up going to two great parties. At both parties I met a lot of new people. Every year my friend Brant throws a memorial party. This one was awesome! I was able to catch up with some old friends from college and met again a lot of new people. Great conversations, and hopefully they will lead to something.

Monday morning, Memorial Day, I got up and got ready to meet my family. My father, twin brother and his wife had lunch in Easton. It's been a long time since I've seen them so it was a nice change. After catching up on their lives and catching them up I was off to Reichley's. I am the first to admit that my interest in anime is not only limiting but nearly non-existent. I went for the sushi! I did enjoy the series though, the parts in which I was awake of course. I give it to Reichley. The guy knows how to entertain.

Until later...
